Thierry Debels (°1968) is een onafhankelijk onderzoeksjournalist en royalty-watcher. Hij is als master bedrijfseconomie gespecialiseerd in financiële economie en doceert aan de VUB. Hij publiceerde tal van boeken over financiën en het koningshuis, waaronder ‘Vorstelijk vermogen’ (2014). Eind 2016 won hij een rechtszaak tegen Vredeseilanden over zijn boek ‘Hoe goed is het goede doel?’ dat de hypocrisie van menig Vlaamse ngo aankaartte. Hij publiceert onder meer in Dag Allemaal, ’t Pallieterke en Sceptr.
